HENDRIKS TOTH – WANDERINGS

With Wanderings (one), Slovak artist Hendriks Toth delivers an introspective, sensory, and deeply nomadic project. Conceived as a sonic travel diary, this vinyl album gathers seven compositions recorded in cities across the globe — each track born from a specific place. Far from being a literal geographic document, each piece is an emotional fragment, an inner landscape shaped by the sounds of the outside world — captured, transformed, and reassembled.

Blending field recordings, analog textures, granular processing, and subtle rhythmic motifs, Hendriks Toth crafts a sensitive ambient and experimental work. He doesn’t aim to describe places, but to translate their inner resonance: the tension of a Tehran alleyway, the dry heat of Jeddah, the vibrant chaos of Kolkata, the slow calm of Maputo, the urban pulse of New York, the sacred silence of the Pamir mountains, and the restrained gravity of Kyiv.

Each side of the record traces a path :

– Side A explores the East — from the Middle East to Asia — with rich cultural contrasts and organic soundscapes.

– Side B moves toward the Atlantic and remote highlands, in a more introspective and meditative atmosphere.
