A series of fragments revealing influences, methods, and decisions where life and work remain inseparable. Moving through the residual noise of contemporary media space, Christian Stadsgaard draws from social media remnants, dark web transmissions, and untreated human sound.
These elements are processed through noise electronics and tape manipulation, collapsing source and signal. ’The Vanity Project’ is constructed as a dense, uneven surface. A collage of found sound, environmental interference, and emotional residue. The result carries Vanity Productions’ characteristic melancholy, Nordic restraint, and accumulated debt, forming a quiet but insistent tale of romance and reflection from the source.”
Album credits:
All music recorded by Christian Stadsgaard in Copenhagen, Denmark 2025
Mixed by Christian Stadsgaard and Malthe Fischer
Mastered by Giuseppe Tillieci at EnissLab, Rome
Photos by Christian Stadsgaard
Collage by Anthony Linell
Sound contributions by Shredded Nerve, Jackson-Pratt, Ashley C, Hannes Norrvide, Malthe Fischer, Daniel Svanberg Bøtcher, Vagn Olsson, Yuri Umemoto, Lise Westzynthius, Qiuyao Ning, Peter Peter, Government Alpha and Merzbow – A big thank you to everyone involved.
“The Vanity Project” was kindly supported by KODA kultur, Copenhagen.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0836/8187/0154/files/cc_front_5b4dd856-2d2b-48bb-ba01-f7a14cb219ca.jpg?v=1791992845
